11.05.2006 - 12:48hYour Pixel Ad Has Been removed….Have you ever gotten an email with the subject line ‘Your pixel ad has been removed’? How about this one, ‘ Your pixel ad has expired’?
Talk about frustrating.
You worked hard, seeking out pixel sites, posting your images, and posting your back links. You searched Google for more pixel sites to post on. You scoured forums looking for links to even more pixel sites.
You created a list in your favourites folder, and you go through it every day, posting more links.
And then, the emails start coming in…
‘Your pixel ad has been removed. Please feel free to post it again.’
Wait!
You haven’t even gotten through the list of sites you wanted to post at, and now you have to start again?
Usually you get a statistic in the email. They tell you how many hits you got while your link was posted. If you are lucky, it’s more than 100. Usually its in around 35 or 40.
Maybe you are starting to understand the ‘value’ of free Pixel ads?
The true value of a pixel ad is in the link to your site. So if your link doesn’t stick around long, it’s not really worth the time it took to post it.
Your time is valuable. Most pixel sites offer paid spots for very little money. You can pay your ten dollars or so, and then spend your time with more effective advertising methods.
Best of luck with your marketing and your business,

04.02.2006 - 21:19hSo why are some pixel sites destined to remain empty? It's true, the pixel advertising phenomonon seems to have reached almost everywhere in Internet Marketing, but what is it that separates the good pixel sites from the, uh.. not so good? There's two things that will increase a pixel site's ability to interest advertisers. The first is traffic, and the second is uniqueness. Without either of these things, putting your pixel on a pixel site is akin to just sticking up a web page and not telling anybody it's there. The pixel site owners need to promote their pages heavily in order to bring traffic to their site, and thus, your ads. This can have added benefits for everybody: it increases the alexa rank and page ranking of the pixel site which in itself will help to increase the traffic. A higher page rank for the site that has YOUR link on it, also means better search engine placement for you. Of course, we all want to attract visitors and see lots of "clicks" on our ads, but improving your sites ranking in the search engines will also increase your visitors, so indirectly, pixel advertising can still be a huge benefit even if you don't seem to be getting "clicks" on your actual ads. In effect, traffic promotes more traffic, and having links on sites with higher traffic can eventually lead to more traffic for you too.
But what makes an advertiser choose one high-traffic pixel site over another? They all look the same these days and a lot of pixel publishers aren't really doing much more than the default installation. Not very enticing to an advertiser. Places like Ad on The Moon have used novel ideas to generate interest. The Pixelizer has a unique twist offering affiliate and random payments for each new signup. Sites like Pixel Fever are backed by other income-generating opportunites. There are a few unique sites offering something more than the ordinary and when combined with high traffic, these are the sites that will fill their grids.
To make the most of your pixel ad placement, there are some things to keep in mind. Don't just enter any old description to use as your "hover" or descriptive text. Make sure your description actually includes the keywords that are important to your site. This will help with search engine placement. If you're considering spending more than just the minimum block amount at a site - you don't have to place one large ad with only one link. It's beneficial if you have lots of smaller pixels advertising the same link - creating more backlinks for your site. And they don't have to be next to each other, they could be placed diagonally or with different images or carefully crafted to appear like a continuing image, whilst actually having a number of separate images and separate links.
I think pixel advertising is here to stay, but publishers just putting up a site and waiting for visitors will be surely disappointed. Put some thought into your marketing program and your "theme" and you'll find you'll be able to attract many more paying advertisers.

03.02.2006 - 23:15hWelcome to The Pixelizer UpdatesWow! An amazing first week we had thanks to many of our advertisers and affiliates, and our paid advertising resources bringing traffic to your ads.
During our first week since launch, our Alexa rankings hit the charts "with a bullet" giving us a ranking of just over 95,000. Unfortunately, once averaging sets in, the traffic rank over the 2 week period averaged out a lot lower, but we intend to get straight back into the top 100,000 and keep on climbing!
In only the first week, we have paid out over $140 in random and sponsored $5 and $2 payments to our affiliates. One of our advertisers doubled her payment in less than 24 hours. Well done!
Over the coming weeks you will see additional improvements made to the site allowing us to provide even greater exposure for your ads, plus bringing you even more traffic. Look out for your member updates to keep up with the latest news.
Thanks again for a wonderful first week!
